Sourceforge.net recently asked developers if they wanted to update their
sites to use HTTPS rather than HTTP. Perhaps this bug is related to
that change in the corefonts project on sourceforge.net

Still a problem (using Firefox 3.6.6 on Ubuntu 10.04) at Facebook.com
website. I can rename the files to use lower case .jpg and then they
are visible in the file dialog.

I was prompted to add junior users, and so I created some junior users,
and then went Back and was prompted again for junior users, which now
showed the new users, which I selected. I pressed next, and it crashed
(while running out of Ubuntu Software Center).

Similar to Bug #333903, but running 10.04 Lucid on Dell Studio 1745.
wl fails to load on boot. I can:
$ sudo modprobe -r wl
$ sudo modprobe wl
And wireless will now work.

Performed full install to the Toshiba A135 Laptop with the latest development
release of Ubuntu, 10.04 rc Lucid Lynx downloaded on 2010-04-24:

I upgraded a fresh CD install of Jaunty 9.04 to Karmic 9.10 and upon reboot,
the keyboard and touchpad on the Toshiba A135 Laptop did not work at all. I
rebooted (power off/power on) and used the 9.04 kernel 2.6.28 from grub menu,
and after booting, added to the kernel

Binary package hint: wlassistant
Open Wireless Assistant, and select an access point whose ESSID has
changed (i.e. I changed the ESSID of a brand new wireless router after I
connected to it once). Attempt to connect, and it will fail. Under
Settings, it shows the old ESSID
Taking the -n out works for me.

System gets
I have 2 Toshiba Satellite A135 laptops with SB450 HDA Audio. The sound
did not work at all with Kubuntu 7.04 Feisty, but did work with Kubuntu
6.10 Edgy. I got the sound working by adding some parameters to the
snd_hda_intel driver module. I did not update the ALSA drivers.
$ sudo vim

Adding the following line at the end of the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
file allows this workaround to be permanent.
