We've also encountered the same bug on a Dell T620 PowerEdge server. The
system would become unresponsive after a day of heavy load.
The server hasn't crashed for the past three days since running 'echo
never /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/enabled' as suggested by
Phillipp in #8.

I installed raring and this bug is still present in 13.04. Only the
analog output appears in pulseaudio and not the headset profile. The
patch doesn't seem to be present in latest package in the repository
(1:3.0-0ubuntu6). I think it's pretty critical to have a USB headset to
have both output and
This also affects me, and so I've made an upstream report:

So the bug has already been fixed in libgtksourceview 2.10.1. The
version that lucid starts with is 2.10.0. Any chance that an update to
2.10.1 can be made through update-manager or apt soon?

Sebastien, I have confirmed that the new version of gtksourceview2 in
lucid-proposed does indeed fix this bug. Thanks!
To be more explicit, the lucid-proposed contains both an update for
gedit and an update for gtksourceview2. I only installed the
gtksourceview2 update, and the problem with

The updated network-manager package that was just provided via update

re-installed the patched version of yours from yesterday, and now it
works again.
I'm guessing that's due
This bug still exists in the official release of 9.10. I just spent the
past hour trying every possible set of options in the network manager,
just to make sure. No luck connecting to the DSL.
I did a clean install of 9.10. Before hand I had 8.10, and it worked
fine, but I wiped the partition
On 9.10 now:
pppoe does indeed work properly, but the network manager fails. Again, this is
the official release version of 9.10.
If any debugging information is desired, post and I'll include it.

Definitely an annoying bug, that I only figured out pppoeconf thanks to
my xp partition. People without dual partitions or other computers are
going to have some major problems with 9.10.
Even using pppoeconf to connect to the internet, my functionality is
extremely limited. I went to install
