I have the same problem with mobility radeon x1400. The frontend starts. No
fonts are displayed. I'm able to navigate to the "watch tv" screen. All I see
is a black screen, but sound works. I attach the terminal output. It's
something like

Mmmh, strange. It worked three days ago but today resume didn't work. I
attached the crash report. Btw I'm using the 32bit jaunty.

Same here with Toshiba Satellite Pro A100. Resume doesn't work.
I'm also using jaunty (ati graphic card with default jaunty driver). A
few weeks ago it worked with jaunty. At the moment it doesn't.

I have a quite similar problem. My System (X-Server?) crashes from time
to time (not always!) when watching video-files in totem or vlc. I'm not
using compiz.

As far as I remember I imported all my SMS into Wammu -> Then I tried to delete
one of the imported SMS -> Then Wammu crashed.
