I'm experiencing this exact issue. 16.10 x64, not dual booted. Only
difference is mine is fill disk encrypted, so my device is dm-0.

Same for me. But again, my wifi signal is stronger now than in my
previous location, so I encounter no disconnections due to weak signal.

This happens very randomly. I can't tell which wifi is more affected
than another since I use mostly the one of my work place, either :
Eduroam (European Education wifi), and also the local wifi network (same
antenna). I think it happens at my home too,

A couple of things come to mind, First under Settings, then Filters,
and Search Filters, do you have everything selected? Also have you run
apt-get update
and
apt-get upgrade
to the newest

I have a similar problem, but appears to be random crashing, with
firefox shutting down on some pages. Can recreate it by going to the
same page again (such as gmail inbox, even though google works fine).
Have not found a similarity between pages that crash it, even thought i
can recreate it.
