I know it's not a fix and it may be impractical for the majority of users but if you simply resize the column you're searching before opening the filter then the dialogue box adjusts to the column width. It's then easy enough to revert the column size once you find what you seek. -- You receive

This from Google drive support in response to me asking them how to gain access; Currently, Google Drive does not have a feature where you can set a pin or password to a certain files. Google Drive only saved the files the way we created it. If you forgot the password on the file you want to acces
