My initial report was wrong, it still occurred in the GNOME session as
well, just not at first? I tried it on Wayland and while it was much
faster, it was still slower than I'd expect (5-10 seconds).
Unfortunately running that command didn't work, as I got frustrated and
switched to KDE

I'm running Ubuntu 20.10, and unlocking the screen takes upwards of 20
seconds. If I switch to the "GNOME on Xorg" session instead of the
"Ubuntu" session, the problem doesn't occur. It's only a problem with

section of GNOME Settings, however on 19.04 that option is missing.

on upgrading to 19.04 beta, the Todoist online account option is
missing, and the extension for gnome-todo appears to be missing as well.
