Hi, I have a very similar problem and noticed the following: My external display is working with Nvidia "Performance Mode" only. In "On-demand" mode, I have a black screen that it is not detected in Ubuntu system settings, although it is detected by Nvidia X Server Settings. As if we needed a parameter in On-demand to force HDMI interface to start with Nvidia card and not Intel.
Any hints about this? @Igor, are you sure that you are in "On Demand" mode? I realized that it automatically switches to "Performance Mode" when we change the driver.
