Public bug reported:
`kissparms` lets you set the kernel(?) parameters for the AX.25 KISS
TNC. Settings include setting full or half duplex, and CRC mode. The CRC
mode defaults to `auto`, which on my setup drops the first two packets,
until `auto` can find that it should turn CRC off.

settings locks up all keyboard input for multiple seconds. (depending on
how many settings you need to apply)

The bug this page is about is fixed in arping-2.13, and Ubuntu should
update to at least that version.
The delay issue is now fixed in upstream and will be part of
arping-2.15. It was not a bug in libpcap, but an API change that meant
buffering delays were introduced by default.

This is probably the known issue that was fixed in upstream in Aug 2012,
over two years ago.
Try again with arping-2.13 or later.
