I'd like to say that as of now I can get Thunderbird to start
successfully when I have the name service cache daemon (NSCD) running

I know this comment doesn't help much -- but I want to add my $0.02.
We had a virtual machine host which went unresponsive on April 4th (10
days ago). All of the hosted virtual machines were behaving correctly.
Today while diagnosing the unresponsive virtual host I saw 3MB worth of
the error
I was just now able to track down the VM causing the warnings to our
oracle virtual machine. The instant it was shut off the warnings stopped
in the virtual machine host. I've attached the XML for that machine
(produced by means of 'virsh dumpxml oracle')

I agree that what you proposed is a working solution. Though that
doesn't seem like the best way to implement the functionality. I don't
like to make a comment composed entirely of distention. I still strongly
feel that it should be available as a command line option. With the new
release of

We get reports from our large user base about not being able to even use

AVRDUDE is a full featured FreeBSD Unix program for programming
Atmel's AVR CPU's. It can program the Flash and EEPROM, and where
supported by the serial programming protocol, it can program fuse and
lock bits. AVRDUDE also supplies a direct instruction mode allowing one
to issue any programming
