I can see the same bug. You need to turn off screen's folding of long
lines, typically by pressing C-a r, then it's trivially reproducable.
You can get rid of it again by pressing C-a r. It looks like something
in screen isn't repainting the line correctly when something fills the
complete line,

This is a really, really bad idea; it can easily cause data loss in the
following scenario:
Machine hibernates, user boots an Ubuntu live CD which then proceeds to
scan all partitions. Doing this causes the journal of the root
partition of the suspended system to be replayed. Later, the
I see this on each and every new upstream revision. It doesn't seem
like it is triggered when there's just a new Ubuntu revision, but every
time I get the checking for compatibility with existing extensions
window, it seems like middlemouse.contentLoadURL is reset.

A directive is one of the following:
· A sequence of white-space characters (space, tab, newline, etc;
see isspace(3)). This directive matches any amount of white
space, including none, in the input.

Binary package hint: tracker
In the tracker preferences, it shows my language as norwegian, while
it should rather be Norwegian (upper-case).
Another option would be to remove the language option completely, since
I have expressed a preference to what language I use in my
get those kinds of mails for quite a while.
I would rather recommend keeping the «It works» page.

I have configured nautilus to treat ~ as my desktop (through a gconf
preference). xdg-user-dirs-gtk does not seem to pick this up and
creates a ~/Desktop directory for me when I log in.

That is not possible to do based on how dpkg works. The reason for
failing is you can then fix the problem by unshunting or deleting the
messages. Later, you might well not be able to unshunt them, since
the on-disk format is not stable.

Correct, this is fundamental to how UNIX works. cd has to be built
into the shell, while sudo is not. If you want to do this, you should
spawn a shell using sudo -s or sudo -i and then run the commands you
want, including cd.
