I have this issue as well. I have: gwibber: 2.30.0.1-0ubuntu1 indicator-applet: 0.3.6-0ubuntu2 indicator-messages: 0.3.6-0ubuntu2 - checked in Synaptic package manager. When I start, there is only 1 Broadcast Messages item on the Mail indicator. When I click it, it starts the Gwibber interface.
