I upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04 overnight and it appeared to work in the
morning. Computer began to crash randomly but would reboot. I tried updating
but although updates downloaded into cache, they did not complete; I found my
computer constantly downloading the same update

I had a message during the upgrade that: "Volume 'Filesystem root' has only
990.5MB disk space remaining."
Didin't think there was a shortage of disk space, so this may be a temporary
matter before 'clean-up' during latter stages of up

Whilst installing upgrade to 12.04 computer reported low disk-space in volume
'Filesystem root'.
This was before clean-up stage.
I may need to use g-parted to rearrange partitions; for now I'll continue with
this upgrade and see what happens.

If you are having problems logging onto the new Ubuntu 11.10. Then give
this a go:
Press "Ctrl+Alt+F1"
login
sudo chmod 777 -R /tmp
sudo reboot

Possible fix:
Greetings: We have been getting CPU 40-50% for months on winbind. I have
finally got of my backside as had a go at looking for a fix. I have just done
the following commands and the CPU dropped to 1% It basically re-joins the
Domain, even though we already have a Server account

I did this and it worked first time. Logitech 9000 on Ubuntu 9.10
Remove skype first with "sudo dpkg -r skype"
Then run the following as one line
sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/$(lsb_release -cs).list \
--output-document=/etc/apt/sources
Snap, Installed skype today on v9.10 and could not get the video working.
