If you look at the test case you can see it affects every Dock type
window that is hidden rather than destroyed. The clock was fixed by
making destroyed windows get their shadow cleaned up properly, this one

SInce you are using overlay Xv as far as compiz can tell your video
doesn't actually exist and it is drawing on top of a black window, thus
the solid black shadow. If you tried with mplayer it would show a blue

Confirmed with 9.10, not sure what is going on here. The windows have
the same client leader and the save dialog is modal so it should
certainly be getting focus.
On another (possibly related) note, if you choose to not overwrite the
file the GTK+ file chooser dialog comes back and it too is

It's too late to do this for the final release but if we get an accurate
list of card affected we could perhaps do it in an SRU. The real problem
is that, as we've seen with previous ATI blacklists, not every card with
the same pci id is affected. I don't know if that is the case for this
issue
