I've yet to make my adapter play nicely with Ubuntu 8.10. I have changed
my wired/wireless configuration at home, so that now this PC is
connected to the router via a wire, which of course eliminates the
problem.
Last time I checked, I found that there seems to be a definitive fix for
my chipset
Definitely not performance related. From the very moment I've installed
Intrepid, I've been suffering from this bug on my AMD X2 6000+ with 2
gigs of very fast RAM and an 8800 series Nvidia.

If you do as falcon1620 suggested, but then change to another tab and
attempt to de-maximize, the window goes once again beyond the boundaries
of the desktop. However, hitting F11 two times de-maximizes it to the
size you set manually. Not a crippling bug, but annoying.

The first time my kernel was updated to 2.6.27-11, the phone still
worked great, but the latest update of this kernel (a few days ago) has
apparently broken it. Now I have the same issue reported by Will and

Unable to connect Motorola Z6 phone in mass storage mode
I've recently installed Linuxmod SP1 on my Z6 in order to gain
FTP/telnet connectivity. Although I flashed the phone successfully (it's
a simple process, at least on a Z6), I can't seem to establish a stable
FTP connection between the phone and my linux box, as the phone loses

then I cannot

Hello there. A few days ago I updated my Hardy to Intrepid and my Z6
finally worked -once. Now, when I connect it, both USB devices show up
(SD micro memory and phone memory) but when I try to mount them, I get
an error message. I haven't updated anything else since the upgrade, so
I don't know
@Omegamormegil: Thanks for the suggestion, but that's not the problem
here.
I have the exact same problem, my main specs:
- Dual Boot between Windows Kubuntu Gutsy
- AMD 64 X2 6000+
- M2N32 SLI Deluxe (Wireless Edition)
- Geforce 8800 GTS 320 Mb
- Soundblaster X-Fi only used in Windows due to

Omegamormegil was right all along. I'm sorry! It was all a question of
properly using Alsamixer. Hope Mervin is as lightheaded as I am and this
is his problem, too.
BTW, my
Sorry I keep on posting here, but...
...everything works fine now, but I cannot seem to MUTE the mic (or the

recording. Is this normal?
