In order to install vmware-player; all dependencies are installed, but
vmware-player-kernel-modules-2.6.20-8 can't. First error message I see
is
Unable to find the answer VNET_8_HOSTONLY_
I see. The file I was opening with gedit was corrupted.

The system was doing a lot of things: copying severals gigabytes in a
file, closing openoffice.org calc, and gedit was opening a corrupted
file
