Eduroam also just stopped working for me. I heard local admins reconfigured wifi network, and now when I connect, I get self-signed certificate errors. To solve this, I had to replace the old local certificate (LITNET_CA.crt for me) to the AddTrustExternalCARoot.crt. And I'm not even on Ubuntu.
