The original issue reported in the bug - the inability to generate

I had this issue when using live-boot sticks for training purposes, and
as I was repacking the image anyway I made the following changes:
dpkg-divert --local --rename --divert /lib/udev/write_net_rules.real
/lib/udev/write_net_rules

I upgraded from raring to saucy and now I cannot copy photos off my
camera. The camera mounts ok and I can navigate to the files. I select a
file, copy it, and when it is pasted, an error occurs: Operation not
supported by backend. This appears to me to be a regression in
getting the same bug here too, google serach provides nothing but a whole bunch
of other people blaming this problem on gwibber, it isnt gwibber or empathy, it
is the online accounts, a fix would be nice so i can start integrating facebook
with ubuntu.

Seems to me that /lib/udev/cdrom_id --eject-media $device as called by
/lib/udev/rules.d/60-cdrom_id.rules is trying too hard. It should
respect the lock flag on the device, maybe with a --force option to
eject regardless. Anyway this is surely a udev bug not a kernel bug.
