There is nothing in /var/crash
On my system, pidof udisks-daemon returns two numbers: 2642 2638
sudo udisks --inhibit sleep 60 returns nothing
The installer does launch.
It occurs to me that this problem his been in the live Cds for some
time. I am running two test machines and noticed that
I have verified that this problem is present on both of my test systems
and it also appears in the live RC CD.

In version 2.11.2.1 (Lucid) the keyboard shortcuts for image rotation in
fullscreen mode (e, r, m) are not working. I agree that this version is
very slow compared to past versions especially when loading large images
and viewing directories containing large numbers ( 4000) of images.

I'm testing Hardy on an old (circa 1995) HP Pavilion with a Rockwell
sound chip. To get correct sound on this system I have to set the sound
engine to OSS which works for all sound applications. However the
default login and logout sounds do not playback properly thus

I have some more information. When you go through gedit's menus (e.g.
File-Open location) you can open the file by entering the URL of the
share, in my case smb://twin4/ftp-install/fc-devel/rsync_update,
however, if I attenpt to run gedit from the command line with gedit
I'm seeing this problem also with my external USB CDRW drive. I have to
manually unmount /dev/scd0 before I can write to non-blank media. Very
annoying.

I see this same problem. Usually, clicking the Reload icon completes
the reading of the share. I am running this on a relatively slow
machine (600 Mhz Celeron) and it worked in Dapper.
