1. Icons in the task bar disappear (and only appear after logout/login)
2. Windows get drawn with black margins and sometimes with black canvas (gets
away after a second or so)

Note that 'share-rw' was introduced earlier (commit dabd18f6, qemu 2.9)
than 'locking' (commit 16b48d5d, qemu 2.10), so if qemu 2.9 is relevant
for you, your hacky check doesn't work.

Seems so.
Sorry, didn't find it when filing the issue.
Should be merged with 1716250 as the descriptions there are accurate.

Sorry, don't get the question:
I tried to mount the samba share and run deja-dup then. This led to the
error.
I can however access the files on this share from Nautilus without any
issues (i can create a file, copy and delete it)
I have set up that the password is not required on reconnect so
The bug is not fixed there.

The important difference between your -drive command line and my
-blockdev example is that I used the node-name to reference the image.
You can specify a node-name with -drive, too (having both id and node-
name is one of the main things that I meant what I said mixing both

This is due to missing facetimehd driver.
I built one according to https://github.com/patjak/bcwc_pcie/wiki/Get-Started
and it works.
However, the image lacks the green channel (thus it is magenta).
Taking pictures works fine (all color channels are captured)
** Changed in: cheese (Ubuntu)
The share-rw=on option belongs to -device, not to -drive/-blockdev.

Public bug reported:
Playing videos sometimes just displays black images (audio coming in
clearly) or with one colour channel missing (magenta tint mostly).
Tried with several videos, there seems to be no pattern (avi as well as
mpeg, different encoders).
