After Reboot the mouse does not get recognized at all. I have to wait
for several seconds after the desktop is fully loaded then I have to
switch the mouse off and on again.
The middle scroll wheel does not work in the upward direction. Scrolling
down works fine, scrolling

scrolling upward worked again. Sorry for that. The left mouse button
error remains however.

In tracker-preferences one can adjust how the tracker uses system
resources in the performance tab.
However, in 9.04 none of these settings show any effect. Same
performance requirements whether using memory or not (memory footprint
stays the same), same cpu requirements
Final note: The tooltip suggests that there is a progress in the
indexing (files indexed number rising). THe statistics do the same.
However, the process odt2txt is stuck with only one file (which is not
too big) and there is no progress doing searches.
So to me, it hangs.

Most certainly this is a software bug. The same issue happens on different
vendor notebooks.
The nx8220 is just my test machine.
Try the following:
Connect to a wireless network using WPA2 / PSK.
Enter the password: testtest
Now in network manager Edit Connection: select the Auto SSID and edit

the package in question is nm-applet. I think that the files in question
are ws-wpa-psk.c and wireless-security.c.

Did some experimenting:
MSHOME is not stored anywhere on my machine (in any configuration file
that is). If this is the case, MSHOME must be hard coded in OOo.
It works perfectly fine with 2.4.1 and 3.0 (ooo.org downloaded version).
I am a bit disappointed about how theses issues get worked on.
Sorry. My Server is samba 3.0.24.
I tried this with an old 7.10. I am required to log on, then I can see my
shares.
On 8.04 and 8.10 I do not see my shares any more.
I have to KNOW what shares are available in order to connect.

I started testing Ubuntu Hardy with the 1st beta, so its hard to know
when first it worked (as far as I remember though, hardy beta did not
work until the day before release on my laptops).
So I am quite convinced it worked with 8.04 release.
Apport does not produce a crash report, xsane simple

On startup the mouse connects to the notebook fine. It takes a while but

In 8.04 this issue seems to be resolved.
I can print from any application (including eog and evince)

John, I would not close an incident if I was not 100% sure it is
resolved. Was just a suggestion to keep the general list short.
As for me: I have upgraded all my workstations and notebooks to 8.04. I
have to install language packs for German, the it works.
So I cannot help any more in resolving
And this is true for 8.04 LTS as well.
Other machines work fine.

Starting gnome-rdp after upgrading 7.10 - 8.04 I got an error that
gnome-rdp could not connect to the database
#149542 supposedly describes a workaround (which does not work)
#174102 shows a dump that is similar to what I get starting gnome-rdp from
console

We have 8.04 now and none of my machines has trouble working with
Syaptics any more.
Please confirm as it is helpful to the developers to keep a clear view
