ON the way to the internet servers you connect to, there's supposedly some kind of modem connection (DSL, UMTS etc...), which limits your bandwidth. Such a bottleneck causes IP packet drops, evokes TCP/IP retransmits and/or TCP packets arriving in the wrong order thus stressing the TCP/IP stack.
