No - as plasma is actually running (on desktop 1 only). I have to kill
and restart it to have it running on all desktops

I have 8 desktops configured, but after starting KDE plasma only works on
desktop 1. All other desktops are visible and applications run on them but all
show a blank background.
Killing and restartig plasma solves the problem.

Hello Leann,
sroll up - its the same patch Christophe Dumez supplied on 2007-10-13, simply
re-arranged a bit and using a context-diff (so beginners can apply it also to
future kernels more easy).
As I am not involved in development I have no idea where to submit this to get
it included into
I just used the patch supplied above to patch a vanilla 2.6.24 kernel -
works like a charm (I had to apply the patch manually as some things
have changed a bit).

Same problem here after upgrading to gutsy and using 2.6.22 kernel.
The still installed 2.6.20 does not have this problem.
