@Gabi Its a known issue with the gigabyte boards. It is known as coldboot issue
I believe. The reset procedure is to take the cmos battery out, leave the pc
unplugged and batteryless for about 10 minutes and then it will work again. I
had the same first reaction as you when I had the issue first
I tested blacklisting as you described in the reddit post and it did not
fix the vector 07 irq trap issue for me on ubuntu 16.04.

68 does work for me. the installation of the kernel did not complete
properly on my first attempt, hence I had a black screen.

video output at all on mobo gpu or discreet.
My hardware is: gigabyte AB350m HD3 with bios release F2. GPU is Nvidia
gtx1060. Ryzen 1600.

Turns out the voltage and clock adjustments can be made (I reported
earlier, directly above this comment, that it was not possible which is
wrong) it can be done, its interface is .. unintuitive. (hint: use the +

I'm experiencing the same issues. I've tried the blacklist pinctrl-amd
workaround and it still won't work. This board won't even let me adjust
memory or cpu clocks or voltages which is advertised! I will be
returning my gigabyte AB350m HD3 board.

I can confirm I have the same problem.
It seems that it may be down to console-setup not being installed, but when
trying to install I get:

The work around I used was to create a file (as root)
/etc/modprobe.d/saa7134.conf
In that file I placed the following content:
blacklist saa7134
blacklist saa7134_alsa
I then rebooted the machine
The pro of this is that you do not have to unplug the card, but you may
still require a reboot

I appear to have a similar issue. In Maverick x64 edition changing the
font size in the Appearance changed the font size used in the Nautilus
File manager. This no longer happens in Natty.
By default I always drop the default font size by a couple of points
otherwise they are far too large.

I am having the same results upon shutdown. A low frequency "dragging"
sound then, a loud "pop" upon power off of the sound card. I have the

I am still using Hardy, and I am total newb, but the top of this post
looks wrong to me:
Workaround 1: (since ffox 3.0.1) ->
set toolkit.networkmanager.disable to false in about:config
Doesn't it make more sense to set networkmanager.disable to "true," as
then would then disable firefox checking
Looking at the bug reports it appears that this may be the same issue as
202065.
Hopefully I am helping and not hindering here.

I also have the same problem on my desktop too. After a little digging
I found that the SAA7134-ALSA module can only be selected if
"Sound->Advanced Linux Sound Architecture -> Advanced Linux Sound
Architecture" is selected as a module first, which does not appear to be
the case in the file /boot/
and
hardy amd64 in last one month.
It seems the wireless can not receive packet.
lsusb will freeze terminal if usb wireless pluged,it seems can't get
usb-id

When burning a DVD with nautilus-cd-burner, and the filenames are long file
names i.e. "Long Filename.txt", the DVD is readable in Unix, however only 8.3
