I did an upgrade from 12.04.1 to 14.04 and I deleted all traces of samba
3.x before a new installation
I need to install samba, but I have this error:

I found the culprit.
A test return of @armagedon:/etc/init.d# samba-tool testparm
--parameter-name=server role give

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 32bit with ati fglx drivers of ubuntu depot.
On opening gnome systeme monitor, Xorg crash completly and need a hard reboot
to retore X.
