@pieleric: I confirm it has gotten worse in 13.10.
The BookmarkMenuHider didn't do anything for me, probably because most of my
bookmarks are sorted and thus still in the menu. after installing the addon.
The ui.use_unity_menubar trick did it, but I agree it is a pity it also
disables HUD
Is version 1.4.3-0ubuntu1 going to be backported to lucid? I currently
have vesion 1.2.2-0ubuntu2.3 that still crashes.

Same on a Dell Latitude e6530 with an i7 3720M on Intel Graphics. I
disabled Optimus (thus switching to the nvidia graphics) and didn't have

It is better to enable the cmd_cp line. The conf file clearly states it
is better enabling it than installing this perl module.
I think this patch for rsnapshot.conf.default.in would fix it.

Same problem here on a freshly installed Ubuntu 10.04 virtual server
(present before anything was upgraded). The message is displayed in
/var/log/auth.log The update-locale command created the file and solved
the issue. Here is the output of the 'locale' command:

Steps to reproduce:
- Start xmms2d and gxmms2
- Kill xmms2d
- Start xmms2d again
- Try to load a .m3u playlist (drag-n-drop)
There is no output to xmms2d when gxmms2 crashes. However, if I restart
gxmms2 I can see the following error:
17:58:41 ERROR: ../src/xmms/xform.c:1448: Couldn't set up
There are basically two ways of fixing this bug.
1) As stated before, under System - Preferences - Appearance check Show
icons in menus. After restarting Firefox, the icons should be there again.
2) If you don't want the icons in other applications, and you feel they are
missing only in Firefox
What is interresting is that when you disable Ubuntu Firefox
Modifications, all becomes ok as well.

Restart was successful. Kernel is correctly installed and it seems my
modifications to menu.lst were ok (uname -r gives 2.6.27-11-generic)
Some notes that might be interesting:
- Like the reporter, I'm using ubuntu 8.10 in french language. I don't know if
it is relevant or only a coincidence.

Update failed (not enough space on I-don't-know-which drive).
