Konqueror only shows /media and /home under
the root directory. Other directories are not shown.
(I have /home in a partition separate from / , which might
be reason.)

Binary package hint: kmail
If a default BCC address is set via Settings - Configure KMail -
Identities - Modify (the default identity) - Advanced Tab,
then Kmail forwards some of the e-mails as empty e-mails.
