I have just discovered this bug - Kubuntu Hardy with a Firefox binary
(3.01) direct from mozilla.org (the standard Kubuntu build of Firefox
keeps freezing on me). I went to the KDE Control Center - Appearance
Themes - GTK Styles and Fonts, and changed the settings from Use my
KDE style in GTK
I think a problem I have just reported in the Greasemonkey ticket system
is a version of this one

When I visit the following URL with either Google Toolbar or
Greasemonkey as the only extension enabled, my browser freezes and has
to be killed off.
I get the same with a Thinkpad T42p. Ctll-Alt-F7 is not necessary, if
you wait long enough.
The following turns up in /var/log/messages:
