I am running Kubuntu 20.04 with Ubuntu Studio on an HP zbook 15 G3. My
printer / scanner is an HP Envy 5542.
Scanning at the defaults, text 150 dpi / image 300 dpi works 'out of the
box'.
Changing resolution to 600 / 1200 dpi sets the scanner working (shows
"Scanning..." in

there was never a qtermwidged-l10n package - have a look at lxqt-l10n -
there was a qterminal-l10n package, the widget package was planned. So
the only thing that is messed up is Ubuntu - and the packaging is marked
as $fooubuntu - but the recommendation to a package that not exist in
debian is a
Plain wrong - as long the user don't descide otherwise - all language
packages are recommended, the default is: install-recommends -- so if a
user knows better and do an `apt install --no-install-recommends $foo`
one get exactly what one want.

the others seems to have patches and other things that prevent automatic

experienced. It's not a bug - thats exactly the reason why using
graphical applications with sudo is discouraged. To fix:

with an .Xresources file containing `Xft.dpi: $your_dpi_in_integer` -

- so yes, the widht of the clock wrong under certain circumstances -

To manage
another reason to drop gdebi at all is apt's ability to install locale
packages like charm with:
apt install ./$path/to/package.deb
The only thing about is that a little bit education is needed as it is a
relative new feature of apt.
