A few questions you can ask to make sure of that:
- Do you get any error message at all?
- Which nvme items do you see in /dev when in BusyBox, and which ones when you
boot normally using kernels that work for you?
- Do y
The new kernel, 5.4.0-48, indeed solves the problem.

I have a similar problem and attached a shoot. Unistalling the ubuntu
theme I got some measures oof the usplash that seem to be fine. This
ubuntu theme gives wired figure. Tried to use another theme (xubuntu,
kubuntu) but could not be loaded.

For more information I have no error message, I have an Nvidia card and
I use a proprietary driver, because the free one partially works (sends
the screen 1 cm right). I also have a laptop Centrino with Intel graphic
