As suggested by Alfonso on IRC (thank you!), I separated out a52dec
plugin from gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad into a new gstreamer1.0-a52dec
package, the latter has liba52-0.7.4 as dependency. Tested on mako,
video posted in comment #2 works fine.

by Alfonso, however qtmultimedia patch is needed as the opus encoder is
installed but it is not recognized by QGstreamerAudioEncode (it is not

Running Ubuntu 16.10 from a LiveUSB. Bluetooth adapter does not work.
Even if I try Danilo Silva's suggestion of toggling Wi-Fi on/off using
Fn keys. In my case, it should be Fn + F3. Actually, that key shortcut
does not work for me. Pressing Fn + F3 if Wi-Fi is connected does not
disable it, and v

We have the same issue. Using "delaycompress" suppresses the "gzip:
stdin: file size changed while zipping" error but upstart will continue
to write on .1 file until this is actually gzipped, which is quite
annoying.

I found out that the problem is with the output to console.
If you turn off output with -quiet or -nv it does not crash.
Also exporting LC_ALL=C will solve the problem.
Anyway i was unable to track with libc crashes, also using strace.

If use "-nv" flag it does not crash.

comment #82? I would also try to enable pulseaudio logging.
How to enable pulseaudio logging (looks like wiki instructions don't work for
Ubuntu Touch, IIRC these are the right steps):

@GTriderXC, Vincas: this is really strange becuase:
AFAIK:
- message received sounds should use alert role
- Music/YouTube/... apps should use multimedia role
- during calls the phone should use phone role
- alarms should use alarm role
- feedbacksound role is used when there are no sounds playing
@Vincas: your issue looks similar to bug #1506953 (fixed in OTA-13) so
looks like media-hub is crashed for you, do you have any crash log in
/var/crash?
