I did an update to kernel 3.8.4-030804-generic .
Result : only one error message a day and no hang-up. It works for me.

I did an update to Kernel 3.8.4-030804-generic.
I get the error message only once and then everthing works fine for me.

Note
When at step 7
Only one occurrence will be found, write out google.com (VERY carefully) and
replace it with the ip you can ping, like 127.0.0.01
search and replace works fine using text to replace.
