After further investigation this is caused by a bug in mesa drivers,
I've filed a bug to them here:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/5847
and they say it has been fixed in 21.3.x but Ubuntu includes
21.0.3-0ubuntu0.3 which is an old release of mesa drivers.

Hi, I just wanna say this issue stopped happening shortly after i filed
the bug.
I still think it was a mixture of linux key press handling and website
code. And since I'm not sure which side fixed it I can't be sure this
won't still happen on some other website.

Hi Sebastien,
I know it isn't gnome-control-center but I tried to follow Reporting Bugs guide
on the "Filing a general bug against no particular package", which got me
no-where: when I run the only option that makes sense is "Other problem" and it
just give you an alert that you need to specify
