from what i understand , the cpu in the dell latitude d600 is an non pae
cpu which 12.10 has an issue with. I ddid the upgrade on it because the
wireless card it had would not work in 12.04 at all but would in 12.1o.
i swapped out the wireless card and downgraded to 12.04 and all is good
now.

I did not know there was an upgrade option for it, I have downloaded the
file you linked here but I do not know how to install it. I have it
extracted to a folder on my desktop. can you help me to install it or

I had forgotten about this issue , I had installed clamav just before this
issue started for me. the PC I was useing died shortly there after from an apt
flood. and never got a chance to follow up . but this problem started right
after the Clam av install .

the menus are also enlarged so I
cannot change the size back to normal . I have to reboot every time.

0.11.1 that came with it .
I am very sorry if I posted this incorectly , as I am very new to this OS I
didnt realize it would be an issue. Is celestia another open gl program? if so
I get a segemtation error and a shut
I have installed and run google earth on my laptop , it appears to work well.
as far as graphics card goes I have a
Intel® 852GM/855GM x86/MMX/SSE2 I did a search and found varoius issues but
none I cold say where related to this issue.

I have no clue if this a bug or not , I am a major newb to linux . the
issue I am haveing is on a fresh install of edubuntu that came with
stellarium on it , so I have no idea how anything could be corupted. I
have seen several older bugs reported in older ubuntu versions that have
had this issue

when trying to play a store bought dbd I get the message Could not read DVD.
This may be because the DVD is encrypted and a DVD decryption library is not
installed.
AS an extreme newb to linux I have no idea how to remedy this.
I am running edubyntu 11.10 if that helps

I have tried to start this program in a fresh edubuntu install and it just
flashes the slpash screen and then goes right back to the desktop.I have tried
an uninstall and reinstall and still have the same issue .
