Mackenzie, I tried the live CD and everything works fine with it. It has
direct rendering. However, once I install it, it has not anymore. Weird.
What can I do? is there any file that i can copy from the live CD?

I just made a clean installation of Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex. My Intel
945GM video card has not direct rendering. It used to work pretty well
with Hardy, Gutsy and Feisty.

various minutes. This makes the pc slow and almost usable. I've checked
the memory and I have enough. SWAP is not being used. I thought that
maybe could be the Track's daemon or

Go to Places - File Search. Search for *.cs. The search box doesn't let
you open the file with a double click. It says the file type is not
associated with any program. Anyway, this works perfectly from nautilus
and nautilus search.
