I'm just curious - what's the reason behind this new Oneiric policy? In

Title:
I'd like remind the devs that before Ubuntu 8.04 there was no such bug.
I recall that Ubuntu 8.04 (Gnome version) shipped with an embarrassing
bug which didn't allow the user to change the keyboard layout with a
keyboard shortcut at all, the devs partially restored this functionality
a few months
This type of error happens (on Oneiric amd64) in many apps including my
own, thus I also get the error:
undefined reference to `Glib::ustring::~ustring()
I also found other reports like this:

bafflegab in return about following rules (read above).

Nautilus crashes on

I'm attaching the dmesg and lshw (hardware) from Karmic in 1 gzipped
file.
** Attachment added:

2.6.15.
Anyway, the bug is real, I (like many others) tested it on my dual
booting computer, and the Ubuntu desktop feels significantly less
responsive than
I'm having the same issues with latest updates.

Not sure which templates to add?
First and most important to most desktop users - office related templates:
OpenOffice equivalents of word, excel powerpoint of course. Both the
OpenOffice and MS Office installers add these templates on Windows. So a patch

Folks I'm using Jaunty (x64) and I can confirm (and other people) that this bug
