I am quite sure it is related with a conflict with unity cause if i do:
export UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0
for every app i open i get the menu bar back. But I don't have unity
installed and i tried to remove every single package related with unity.

I want to add that the indicator plugin is actually there.. i mean there
are not icons and its very small but if you click in the area where it
should be you can even access to the functionality. I attach a
screenshot to explain that.
** Attachment added: I am right-clicking over the place it was
uninstalling the package appmenu-gtk solves the problem.

Nikolay try uninstallyng the package appmenu-gtk. This solve this
problem and few other bugs with xfce for me.
This should be considered as a bug anyway as there should be consistency
among all the package system of ubuntu / xubuntu

I reinstaled ubuntu and now everything works fine.. before i instaled
ubuntu 11.04 beta, and even if i updated it, apt auto completion didn't

I am using Intrepid Ubuntu Beta AMD64, and the suspend option (in the
System--shutdown menu) just freezes my computer without any way to
recover it.. it is a regression because with hardy i could use this
option with the only problem that after the supend the sound card

With gnome and nm-applet i have no problem, i have configured my static IP
connection and it works just right, but if i change to KDE 4 (it uses
knetworkmanager to manage the connection) then it just does not recognize it
and even if i introduce it again it doesn't work.
Now I've found that i can make it work with only introducing the commands:
sudo ifconfig wlan0 down
sudo ifconfig wlan0 up
Why do i need to do this every time? is there a way to do it permanent?

I can confirm that the wireless card Intel PRO/Wireless 3945BG is not working
with the most new version of the 2.6.27 kernel (the one that Ubuntu Intrepid
Ibex beta brings).
