Have been trying to get my pc back for 2 days. Maybe it's related to my
having partitoned the drive into separate /boot and /home partitions?
Seriously need this pc back if possible. It's my main work pc, and I
can't afford a new one.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Recently upgraded to Oneiric. Now when I use workspace switcher, the
same instance of an application comes up on all screens, rendering
workspaces useless, since they are all virtually the same. For
