When I activated i386 as suggested here
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel-
announce/2011-August/000886.html, then apt-get install flashplugin-
installer wants to install about 20+ new packages. I will use 64bit
targz for now from the adobe site.

Maybe dkms something would be enough to fix this problem.

Hi Ilan,
yes, this is true. You can use Unity 2D or Ubuntu Classic without Compiz and it
doesn't have this problems with no titlebar.
I am still using Classic with Compiz, until Unity becomes better, or when Gnome
3 becomes more stable.

Binary package hint: ubiquity
In Ubiquity (the installer), a screen where partitioning is done gives a
drop down menu to choose where to install the boot loader. There is no

Hi,
The problem surfaced again with 10.2. and resolution is to change proxy in
/etc/wgetrc.
Global settings are not propagated to this file also.

For me, 2.6.38-rc2 and rc3 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/
is working OK for me. I get screens on both monitors (internal and external),
or only internal if I don't have external monitor connected. I have HP
Elitebook 8440p with Intel graphic card.
But I have also installed
:28 drodiger1 pcscd: winscard.c:1675:SCardTransmit() Card not
transacted: 0x80100016
This messages are repeated until I disconnect the key from VM.
This problem is also visible on kernel 2.6.36,37 and 38.
If this bug is related to kernel and not pcscd package, you can move it.
Thanks
Dejan
