I did try Ekiga with a clean ubuntu feisty, I didn't have this problem
anymore

I have the same problem with 2.6.20-16-generic (CD/DVD writer not detected
anymore).
My workaround is to use the previous kernel 2.6.20-15-generic.

I'm testing Ubuntu 7.04 beta live-cd on a Dell Latitude D820.
The Wifi led blinks very fast before I get the connection, then the led stays
