Well, I do use another package since I didn't get my printer running
with the stuff provided in Edgy... I have no trouble printing using
another driver, so no complaints there. ;-)

Got it to work, finally!
After searching the forums a little more I could install the drivers using
configure/make/make install, then adapted the .sh-file and then I connected not
using CUPS, but HPdirect. Works like a charm.

Doesn't work for me - the only place where I have a pstoalc1100.sh file
is in the original tar.gz archive.
I've used the ppd file, since ./configure and make install doesn't work
(error messages says: no cups-config found - I have cups installed
though and can access another printer just fine).
