Here you go. I just update the kernel again but still no sound. I also
did the module-assistant -l 2.6.22-14-generic auto-install alsa #
builds: 1.0.14-1ubuntu2+2.6.22-14.41 and it did not make the sound work
either. I sure hope this is fixed by the 18th or else they should move
the go live date.

i have a dell latitude d800 and earlier version of gusty had sound but
no sound thru 9/22. Since suse seems to have it working why can't

the above crashes resulted from clicking on a link that had an open
document file associated with the link. It is supposed to launch open
office when i do this but instead crashes the browser. it does it every

In Feisty when i try to use update manager it asks for a password and
after i provide it and click install it asks for the password again and
continues to loop. I have to use synaptic to do updates--it works fine.
