show a connection speed for wireless connection and icon shows no
signal strength for the connection.

This looks to be the same issue of

ati/+bug/645377 and the latest round of updates seem to of fixed it I
didn't notice any xorg updates in the process but something looks like
it has fixed the issue.

workaround i have been using at the gdm login screen pressing the fn f7

I had the same problem with a hp 4050 tn printer and every other driver worked
except the HP Laserjet 4050 Series Postscript [en] (recommended)
This was great no errors but couldn't setup duplexer or 3rd tray for the
printer.
this was using the default HP
