I think this is being caused by the new version gdm using metacity.

It works now. The problem was resolved within 24 hours of my filing the bug.
I assumed that it was a naming error, and someone corrected the issue.

I can confirm this behavior. in hardy. gkrellkam is either unable to display
the downloaded images in gkrellm, or only displays them randomly.
This behavior happens in gnome, kde, openbox, xfce, and fluxbox
