I think there is a sort of cosmetic issue with brasero and app
indicators...while burning a disc infact, an icon appears on the app
indicators, showing a circular disc with increasing progress of burning...as of
older versions of ubuntu, namely with gnome2 up to 10.04, if
+1 for Facebook account still not working on 12.04 LTS with proposed
upgrades enabled

correctly, only problem was that brasero wasn't able to eject the media,
but everything else went well...please push it to the updates, there are
still many people out there using a dvd burner, especially newbies...

Because this bug is fixed in unity 5.12 and if you don't enable that
you're stuck with 5.10 until 5.12 goes pushed to the regular updates...

session before I gave the unity --reset that was also enough to fix
the issue... on my machine the issue was really bad, making the system

mainly it sums the commands you give.
Test case:
1. open a video file
2. click on launcher command mute
3. click on launcher command play/pause
What happens:
Totem passes on pause state, but
2.95 on Oneiric does the same in full window too.

convince even more that a release every 6 months is TOO MUCH! Having 1
year between releases would let developers do things better, and make

In Oneiric it seems somehow solved, since reopening apps from the
indicator has been disabled...if you call the app (that is already open
and minimized) from the indicator, it simply makes the icon blink.

Strange thing...after applying the patch I have a problem with network
information applet...it opens the first time, then, if you close and
reopen it, it acts as in the attachment, or it opens, but refuses to
show...anyone is experiencing this issue?

Omer, yes, I've tried it 5 times, the sequence is: 1. opens fine, 2.
opens as in previously attached screenshot and you can close it from
unity's launcher. 3. opens but refuses to show; at this point it's
enough to logout and login and the sequence starts again.

natty's launcher, so you can only kill it with system monitor

something via the sendto shortcut in nautilus. Please solve it, it's
rather frustrating, if one doesn't know it he thinks the message is
sent, while it's not...

I totally agree with Will, AT LEAST default programs should work
flawlessly out of the box...always with maximum respect with all the
developers, but, please, solve this bug! And don't answer saying that if
you manually add that repo or upgrade that library, then MAYBE it works!

Today's Brasero upgrade to 2.30.2 seems to have solved the problem with
audio cd, without the need to upgrade cdrdao; it still remains however
for data cd, as launching copy cd still asks to install plugins
without telling you which ones

the preamble...I wanted to say that I personally have solved the problem taking
cdrdao ver. 1.23 from a puppy linux forum and brutally copying into /usr/bin;
now brasero doesn't complain anymore that the plugin is

fine now. I'm still wondering why your solution isn't in official ubuntu's
