I make the minimal installation of Ubuntu with the same installation media then
all of my OS seem good.
I had one problem, it's a blackscreen before login window after rebooting.
So I open the grub with 'e' before launch, and set 'nomodeset' then 'ctrl+x' to
boot.
After I had install properly

will support uncompressed BMP.

Maybe related to RAM problem. Actually memtest just failed after I
rebooted. I left the machine alone for a few minutes then memtest semt
to work again. Eventually I downgraded memory speed from DDR3-1333 to
DDR3-1066. Looks stable for now.

I installed comgt to register the card with PIN.
Then I added my user to the "dip" group, and did "sudo pppconfig" to configure
a connection to my provider(Orange Business France).
Now, I can use "pon" and "poff" to connect/disconnect to my provider
I installed the daily trunk updates (8 Dec) and still the same issue
(that you can see on previous attachments)...

As you can on the attachments, I did a second test after the mm-test-py
because NetworkManager Applet recognized my card...
So I tried to setup a connection and it failed. After this failure, I
re-tested mm-test-py.

I did some tests and network manager can now see my card but the
connection doesn't work...
To see my card working with network manager I did :

The Network Manager worked only once !
Since my last restart no mobile broadband is visible even if my qualcom card is

320cx express card, and everything is working as expected. I recompiled
the whole V4L-DVB stack from mercurial, and the patch was already
applied. Could we expect this to make it in karmic final ? (or even a

hi,
it looks like but since my bug report i have disabled pulseaudio and i
have the same problem.
I tried to debug istanbul. The sole thing i have seen is that when
python says to GST to stop the pipes, istanbul wait for dbus messages
from GST that never come.

You're right, this the same problem.
i tried to catch the bug in the python program. It seems that the
program wait for a dbus message that don't arrive. But i can't say why.

I have experienced the same issues: OpenVPN connection timeouts should
be configurable, or set to a much higher value: typically, over a
GSM/GPRS connection, a 40/60 second timeout is not unreasonable, since
this type of connection has very high latency times...
