Hello, after upgrading from 10.04LTS to 10.10 beta, my rhythmbox 'search
as you type' seems to be rather broken. When I start typing something, I
just get random results at first and the actual song is never found from
the list.

Update: I started getting some internal compiler errors when compiling
software, this prompted me to check out the RAM and sure enough, Memtest
reported plenty of errors during the first minutes. I think it's safe to
say this issue is related to faulty RAM instead of an actual bug in
ext4.

I have an external Western Digital MyBook 320GB hard drive connected to
eSATA. When the drive is idle everything seems to be all right, but as
soon as I start writing data on the disk, I keep getting errors in my
syslog. Additionally the drive itself makes an audible noise,

upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04. It stopped working after the upgrade, reporting
