It seems an inherent problem in Ubuntu or even Linux/X. A user may have
a mouse left button defined as the picker/pointer, yet the right mouse
button can choose an option if clicked.
The problem with this happening is that it's easy to wrongly choose an
option when
There is a similar problem with those using 2.8.600 or lower version of
the ATI drivers.

I can confirm that FF3 and Java6 works at Hardy Alpha 6 only after applying
both proposed solutions:
$ sudo sed -i 's/XINERAMA/FAKEEXTN/g'
