both xorg.0.log files look the same to me except for probed value of VideoRAM which matches BIOS changes. I have nothing in the AGP slot or PCI slot, all video is handled on the motherboard. I don't know if it is significant that the log appears to me to be setting values for AGP. My regular

Upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04 - login loop every single time - login screen showed up after a black screen blip. Shows a cl login prompt with the correct login ID name that disappeared right away. Up pops a login screen. I login in, it takes the password, it starts to do something, the screen
