Went through the auto-build process, enabled PPA, used the Update Manager.
Mythfrontend now loads up properly. Thank you!

This began after performing an update 3 days ago. Now it never
successfully starts, so teh system is unusable. Up until the last
Ubuntu update mythfrontend started faithfully,

Hi Marc,
Yes, I saw that bug, but I figured it was not the same because in my case,
Mythfrontend doesn't even get that far. The load process never completes. So
I could never even load a DVD to see.
