I've done a backport of tc1100-wmi.c from 2.6.27 to 2.6.24. As Carlos Corbacho suggested, I've exploited the acer-wmi.c to remap the wmi functions of tc1100-wmi.c. I've tested on my hardware and works. I'll publish the source and a precompiled module on my ppa as soon as possible. -- hardy: no

Kubuntu is KDE-based and the IM for KDE is Kopete. Kubuntu don't install GAIM by default, so we don't have problems for Kubuntu users. We could notify gnome-keyring as a suggested dependecy of GAIM so if some KDE user wants to install GAIM then he/she would be aware of the problem. Maybe for
